Letterpress Printmaker Program

The Distillery’s Printmaker Program is suitable for those seeking full-time employment as a letterpress printmaker.

It suits people with existing skills in printmaking, craft, or hands-on design, and would like to establish a life-long career in commercial printmaking.

We are seeking hard-working creative people, passionate from the heart about paper and print. This program is not suitable for those who casually like to try new things, or in a hurry to get somewhere. Letterpress printmaking is difficult and involves hundreds of hours of training – which at times is very tedious and frustrating. Only those with the right intentions and have the patience to see things through, will experience the joys of being a professional printmaker.

If successful for the program, you would join a highly motivated team of young, like-minded professionals who care about design, and have an eye for Indonesia’s future by respecting the past.

Being an Australian company, The Distillery offers a strong and exciting workplace culture, where hard-work, innovation and success is celebrated.

Training & Employment

Benefits & Culture

This full-time position offers a base monthly salary of Rp. 6-7 million depending on your skills, plus performance-based bonuses, leave entitlements, and insurance.

Most importantly, our team has a friendly and positive culture, with a track record of success. We’re driven by the understanding that professional success is achieved by prioritising the needs of the project, and professional happiness is about aiming to be number one – and succeeding. Yet within all this, the challenge is to not take it all too seriously. Life is to be enjoyed.

The Distillery is an organisation where we work hard – why? Because we’re all very passionate about the work and creativity we specialise in. Since 2011, we’ve found that with passion, excellence and a great team, close to everything we do becomes engaging and enjoyable – and this is something we’re very proud of at The Distillery.
